Views, wooden houses & local life
Follow the heights of Södermalm from Monteliusvägen to Fjällgatan. Ten pictured stories connect spectacular water views with writers’ homes, rebuilt churches, a hidden elevator and the people who saved small wooden houses. This outdoor walk uses public streets and paths, with no paid admission needed. Allow a provisional 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes for about 2.5 km, listening and looking; expect hills and several stairways.
The core route uses outdoor viewing locations. Times are estimates, and access can change. Optional admission, meals and your return journey are extra.
