Discover the wartime stories behind Östermalm’s elegant streets. Eight outdoor stops connect a military headquarters, a quiet intelligence office, German codebreaking, a disrupted sabotage plot and people who carried news and resistance across borders. Contemporary photographs and visible addresses help you separate surviving buildings from places that have changed. Allow a provisional 1¾–2¼ hours for about 3.8 km, listening and looking. No interior visits or tickets are needed.
The core route uses outdoor viewing locations. Times are estimates, and access can change. Optional admission, meals and your return journey are extra.
